The Farrell Steelers will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Mercer Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Farrell posted their biggest victory yet this season on Thursday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 51-15 victory over Jamestown. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Farrell has posted against Jamestown since December 12, 2019.
Meanwhile, Mercer waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They blew past Reynolds, posting a 46-16 victory at home. Given Mercer's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Reynolds is ranked 613th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Farrell has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Mercer, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
