Softball Recap: Elgin Takes a Loss

Elgin suffered their closest loss since August 29th on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Duncan Demons by a score of 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Owls in their meetings with the Demons: they've now lost three in a row.

Kynli Garrett made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Elgin's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 17-7. As for Duncan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elgin will square off against Lawton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Duncan, they will welcome Noble at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
