Softball Recap: Center Point-Urbana Comes Up Short

Center Point-Urbana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Solon Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Stormin' Pointers of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in July of 2024.

Center Point-Urbana's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Solon, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Center Point-Urbana beat the Spartans by a score of 4-1 later that day.
