Soccer Recap: Cedartown Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Cedartown has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They came up short against the Grissom Tigers on Saturday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Cedartown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 92nd in Georgia, while Grissom are ranked 12th in Alabama).

Cedartown's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Grissom, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-4-3.

Cedartown wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Darlington on the 15th. As for Grissom, they have also already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Sparkman on the 15th.
