Soccer Recap: Pacifica Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Pacifica was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They fell just short of the Saugus Centurions by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Mariners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Centurions are ranked 63rd).

Pacifica now has a losing record at 3-4-1. As for Saugus, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1-1.

Pacifica will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Newport Harbor at 6:30 p.m. on December 28th. As for Saugus, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 victory against Kennedy on the 27th.
