Baseball Recap: North Clayton Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for North Clayton's offense. They came up short against the Riverdale Raiders on Wednesday, falling 8-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

North Clayton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Riverdale, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. North Clayton will face off against rival Mt. Zion at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Riverdale is set to square off against their familiar foe Cedar Grove at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in the Raiders' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Saints have been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
