Fort Bend Hightower won the last time they faced Westfield and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hurricanes snuck past the Mustangs with a 29-25 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hurricanes.

Khylan Davis had a dynamite game, throwing for 295 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 53 yards and a pair of scores. Fort Bend Hightower also got help from Cori Robertson, who showed off his sure hands for 100 receiving yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Fort Bend Hightower's defense and their three sacks. Robert Lindley was especially locked on to Westfield's QB and sacked him twice. Fort Bend Hightower got some further help from Devyn Phillip: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Demonte Ford, who rushed for 182 yards and one TD on only 15 carries. Another player making a difference was DMARCUS RIASCO, who rushed for 61 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries.

Fort Bend Hightower's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Westfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Fort Bend Hightower wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 56-27 defeat against Port Arthur Memorial on the 12th. As for Westfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 55-0 loss against North Shore on the 12th.
