Recap: Millville Quakers vs. Benton Tigers

You can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Millville Quakers's strategy against the Benton Tigers on Tuesday. Millville blew past the Tigers 59-37. That's another feather in the cap for Millville, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Millville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abby Kakaley led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kakaley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Larissa Evans, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Millville's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Benton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Millville will face off against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Benton, they will be playing at home against the Griffins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sullivan County and the Tigers are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
