Football Recap: North Marion Victorious

North Marion never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Fivay on Friday. They came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 42-33. The Colts have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

When it comes to explaining why Fivay lost, don't look at Je'Barri Brown. Despite the final result, he rushed for 149 yards and three scores while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 45 receiving yards and one touchdown. Brown really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run. Eddie Reiser was another key player, throwing for 154 yards and a pair of TDs.

The victory got North Marion back to even at 1-1. As for Fivay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, North Marion will challenge Fort White at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fivay, they will head out to challenge River Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
