Central has gone a perfect 3-0 against Griffin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lions will challenge the Bears at 5:30 p.m. Central's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Griffin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Central is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Georgia's top teams: Harris County, who was ranked second at the time (Central was ranked 24th). The Lions came up short against the Tigers on Tuesday, falling 9-2. The Lions have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Griffin played against Jonesboro on Tuesday and lost via forfeit.

Griffin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.

Everything went Central's way against Griffin in their previous matchup back in September, as Central made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
