Soccer Game Preview: Manteca vs. Mountain House

The Manteca Buffaloes will venture away from home to face off against the Mountain House Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Mountain House better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Manteca really get things going. Manteca put the hurt on Patterson with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buffaloes.

Kailee Jackson and Makenzie Forsberg scored all three of Manteca's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Mountain House has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They and Patterson finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw on Friday. That draw made it four straight for the Mustangs.

Mountain House's draw makes their record 0-7-5 this season. As for Manteca, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-6-3.

Everything went Manteca's way against Mountain House when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as Manteca made off with a 6-1 win. In that contest, Manteca amassed a halftime lead of 4-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
