            Softball Recap: Crooked Oak Ruf-Nex vs. Western Heights Jets        
        
		
        
        
            Crooked Oak had lost ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Tuesday they dropped down to 0-9 to make it 11. They lost  15-3 to the Western Heights Jets. If the Ruf-Nex were looking for revenge after losing  10-0 to the Jets when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Western Heights,  the  win snapped their losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 5-16 record. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 For Western Heights' part,  the team  relied heavily on  Aracena Martin, who  went 1-for-2 with four  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Jalesa Asimba, who  went 1-for-2 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Crooked Oak and Western Heights could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Ruf-Nex will  square off against  Perry  at 11:00  a.m.  on Thursday with a big rank  disadvantage  (350 vs. 47). Meanwhile,  Western Heights (ranked 306th) will meet Midwest City (ranked 123rd)  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
