While Cherokee's victory against North Cobb wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Cherokee narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past North Cobb 4-2. Cherokee hasn't had any issues with North Cobb recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Cherokee got a great performance from Asher Webb as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Webb has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Daniel Head, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Cherokee's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for North Cobb, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
