Basketball Recap: Bunker Hill Bears vs. South Iredell Vikings

Bunker Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell just short of the South Iredell Vikings by a score of 48-46. The Bears were probably out for revenge after losing 76-74 to them when the teams met back in November of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

South Iredell was led to victory by Tyrin Mann and Ryder Block. Mann went 5 of 7 en route to 11 points and seven rebounds, while Block posted ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Doucette, who put up seven points.

Bunker Hill's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for South Iredell, their victory ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Bunker Hill will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lincolnton at 7:00 p.m. Lincolnton will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Bunker Hill surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Iredell, they will square off against West Cabarrus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Iredell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season.
