Basketball Game Preview: Grant Pacers vs. Oakland Wildcats

Grant hasn't had much luck against Oakland recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Grant Pacers will be taking part in a tournament against the Oakland Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Grant is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season.

Grant saw some tournament action on Saturday. They strolled past Lathrop with points to spare, taking the game 50-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pacers.

Grant's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nerissa Hamilton, who posted 17 points along with six assists and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhaedynn Mccauley, who had 14 points.

Meanwhile, Oakland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against Encinal, falling 64-34. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Grant's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Oakland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Grant came up short against Oakland in their previous matchup back in January of 2017, falling 68-60. Can Grant avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
