Softball Recap: Pueblo Central Victorious + How To Watch

Pueblo Central took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Rock Canyon, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 10-9 on Friday. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 10-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Sophia Perez was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Cordova, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Pueblo Central hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rock Canyon struck out six times.

Pueblo Central has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 12.0 runs this season. As for Rock Canyon, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coincidentally, Pueblo Central and Rock Canyon will both be playing Coronado the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Jaguars will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
