Soccer Game Preview: Valley View vs. San Dimas

The Valley View Eagles and the San Dimas Saints will round out the year against one another at at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

San Dimas is hoping to do what Vista del Lago couldn't on Friday: put an end to Valley View's winning streak, which now stands at six games. Valley View's defense stepped up to hand Vista del Lago a 7-0 shutout. The Eagles' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Meanwhile, San Dimas ended the year with a bang, routing King 3-0 on Thursday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Saints' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while Wolves are ranked 148th).

Valley View pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those five games. As for San Dimas, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
