Basketball Recap: Socorro Bulldogs vs. Coronado Thunderbirds
Socorro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coronado Thunderbirds. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1010th, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 200th).

Loss or not, Socorro got some senior leadership from Isaias Morales and Danny Delgado. Morales went 6 for 15 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds, while Delgado went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points and three steals. Delgado has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

As for Coronado, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Coronado Thunderbirds face off against the Eastlake Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastlake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season.
