Volleyball Game Preview: Jacobs Golden Eagles vs. Central Rockets

The Jacobs Golden Eagles will head out to take on the Central Rockets at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jacobs is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Jacobs came up short against Prairie Ridge and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Cary-Grove on Tuesday, taking the game 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won five in a row.

The victory didn't come easy: Cary-Grove scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20.

Central's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Jacobs, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

Jacobs came out on top in a nail-biter against Central in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
