Basketball Game Preview: Gunn Titans vs. University Prep Academy Golden Eagles

The Gunn Titans just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the University Prep Academy Golden Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Gunn has four straight wins, University Prep Academy has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Friday, Gunn strolled past Wilcox with points to spare, taking the game 54-35.

Meanwhile, University Prep Academy had to suffer through a 55-25 loss at the hands of Summit Shasta. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 877th, while the Black Bears are ranked 369th).

Gunn's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for University Prep Academy, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Everything came up roses for Gunn against University Prep Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, as the squad secured a 48-21 win. Will Gunn repeat their success, or does University Prep Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
