Football Recap: Isaiah Traylor's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Millard North over Kearney + How To Watch

After flying high against Lincoln East last Friday, Millard North came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell just short of the Kearney Bearcats by a score of 31-28 on Friday. The close contest was extra heartbreaking for the Mustangs, who almost overcame a 21 point deficit.

Millard North lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Isaiah Traylor, who rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown. Cameron Leggett was another key player, throwing for 168 yards and a pair of TDs.

The critical scores for Kearney came from Adrick Techmeier, Cole Larsen, John Florell, and Frazier Foster.

Millard North's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5. As for Kearney, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Millard North will welcome Omaha Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kearney, they are taking a road trip to take on Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Discoverers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Bearcats surely won't give up without a fight.
