Football Game Preview: Fivay Falcons vs. Gulf Buccaneers + How To Watch

The Fivay Falcons will head out to face off against the Gulf Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Gulf will be up against a hot Fivay squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Falcons simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Pasco 55-20. That looming 55-20 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Falcons yet this season.

Demarquez Holloman had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 170 yards and four scores on only eight carries. Those 170 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Tre Larry got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fivay was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Fivay didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Larry and Clarence Walker. Larry got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Gulf made easy work of Countryside on Friday and carried off a 34-14 win. The Buccaneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 20 points or more this season.

Fivay better focus on containing Curtis Scriven and Kavion Brown as the pair were huge in Gulf's win. Scriven threw for 147 yards and three TDs, while Brown rushed for 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Brown also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Gulf is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Gulf now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Fivay, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.

Fivay skirted past Gulf 22-19 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Buccaneers' Antonio Muniz, who rushed for 178 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Falcons to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
