Libertyville had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past the Normal Community Ironmen 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Chase Lockwood spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Libertyville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Schambow, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Libertyville's victory bumped their record up to 35-4. As for Normal Community, they moved to 36-5 with that loss, which also ended their 22-game winning streak.
