Soccer Game Preview: Ventura vs. Dos Pueblos

The Ventura Cougars will take on the Dos Pueblos Chargers at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Ventura's offense. They lost 5-0 to Buena on Tuesday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Dos Pueblos put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Santa Barbara a 2-0 shutout.

Dos Pueblos' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three games. As for Ventura, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-2.

Ventura came out on top in a nail-biter against Dos Pueblos in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 2-1. Does Ventura have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dos Pueblos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
