It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Escalon Cougars can now relate to. They fell 47-40 to the Regents on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Escalon has scored all season.

Despite the loss, Escalon still got an impressive performance from Macie Vickers, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Vickers is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played. Aiden Hohenwarter was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.

Escalon's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 28-4. As for Notre Dame, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-12.

Escalon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Notre Dame will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Riverbank at 7:00 p.m. on February 29th. Riverbank is coming into the contest with five straight wins at home, so Notre Dame will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
