Softball Recap: Wilber-Clatonia Comes Up Short

Wilber-Clatonia lost against Auburn last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolverines fell 10-5 to the Bulldogs.

Aria Polite was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Hayven Kropp, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Wilber-Clatonia's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Auburn, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilber-Clatonia will challenge Centennial on Tuesday. As for Auburn, they will head out to challenge Fairbury at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
