Preview: Frazier Commodores vs. Mt. Pleasant Vikings
The Frazier Commodores will be home for the holidays to greet the Mt. Pleasant Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, Frazier had just enough and edged Bentworth out 57-54. The win was just what Frazier needed coming off of a 57-27 loss in their prior game.
Frazier relied on the efforts of Chloe Harger, who scored 17 points, and Allie Yauch, who scored 17 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Yauch has scored at least 25% of Frazier's points. Taryn Batemen was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Mt. Pleasant had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 38-14 margin over Southmoreland. That 38-14 margin sets a new team best for Mt. Pleasant this season.
Frazier's victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-4. As for Mt. Pleasant, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Frazier suffered a grim 50-25 defeat to Mt. Pleasant in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Will Frazier have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
