The Midtown Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Jackson Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Jackson will be up against a hot Midtown squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Midtown walked away with a 10-6 victory over Forest Park on Monday.

Noah Morrison was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Charlie Frederick was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Jackson got themselves on the board against Creekside on Monday, but Creekside never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Seminoles with a sharp 13-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won ten games by nine runs or more so far this season.
Fletcher Howard looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Jackson got a massive performance out of Seth Geter, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Geter is becoming a predictor of Jackson's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-6 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Maceo White, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Jackson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive matchups.
Jackson is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. Midtown's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Midtown hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. However, it's not like Jackson struggles in that department as they've averaged .345. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Midtown skirted past Jackson 5-4 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Midtown since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
