Baseball Recap: Mission Valley Triumphs

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mission Valley walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Sacred Heart Knights 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Peyton Christiansen made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Christiansen was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Christiansen wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Mills, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Mission Valley's victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Sacred Heart, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.

As of now, neither Mission Valley nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
