After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monte Vista, Livermore was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Granada Matadors 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Cowboys' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 617th, while the Matadors are ranked 287th).

Samantha Hurtado and Eleanor Cowan scored both of Livermore's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Livermore's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11-1. As for Granada, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4-7.
