Basketball Recap: Pocono Mountain West Takes a Loss

Pocono Mountain West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles 63-16. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 505th, while the Blue Eagles are ranked 133rd).

Pocono Mountain West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Nazareth Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pocono Mountain West has already played their next matchup (against East Stroudsburg South), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Nazareth Area will be playing at home against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
