Merced was led to victory by Jordan Thomas, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Wednesday. Thomas dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. The effort marked the most points he has had since back in November of 2024. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played.

Thomas and Merced will be playing in front of their home fans against Atwater at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
