Baseball Game Preview: Norcross Blue Devils vs. Fellowship Christian Paladins

The Norcross Blue Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Fellowship Christian Paladins at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Norcross is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs last Thursday, they were much more limited against Lovett on Friday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 10-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fellowship Christian). Everything went their way against Galloway last Thursday as they made off with a 14-1 win. The Paladins haven't had any issues with the Scots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Will Bracken tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Fellowship Christian got a massive performance out of Mack Town, who scored three runs and stole five bases. Those three runs gave Town a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Coe Puckett, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Norcross has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. As for Fellowship Christian, their record now sits at 15-6.

Norcross suffered a grim 11-2 defeat to Fellowship Christian when the teams last played back in March. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
