Basketball Recap: Ocean View Christian Takes a Loss

Ocean View Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 36-23 to the Preuss UCSD Tritons. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tritons earlier this season, when they won 30-21.

Despite the loss, Ocean View Christian still got an impressive performance from Montse Acosta, who posted 13 points and three steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Preuss UCSD to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rediet Neme, who put up ten points. Afi Torgby was another key player, putting up ten points.

Ocean View Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Preuss UCSD, their victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-13.

Ocean View Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 38-30 win against Liberty Charter on the 13th. As for Preuss UCSD, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-27 defeat against High Tech Mesa on the 17th.
