The Aquinas Fightin' Irish will head out on the road to challenge the Howard Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Aquinas is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Aquinas barely beat Howard the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Aquinas never let Howard get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. While the Fightin' Irish didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Jim Franklin was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. CJ Johnson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Aquinas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Howard only posted an OBP of .333.

Aquinas' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Howard, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
