Baseball Recap: Rolling Meadows Triumphs

While Rolling Meadows's win against Schaumburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Saxons on Monday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Tony Romanacce was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

Rolling Meadows' win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Schaumburg, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Rolling Meadows will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Saxons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
