Baseball Recap: Elder Takes Down Hamilton in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Elder rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Hamilton Big Blue by a score of 9-4. Nine seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Mason Chumbley, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Tucker Veldhaus was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Elder has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Hamilton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-16.
