Athens can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They managed a 48-42 victory over Wellsboro. The win was just what Athens needed coming off of a 46-16 loss in their prior matchup.
In what's become a running theme this season, Northeast Bradford gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They really took it to North Penn-Liberty for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-37 win at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Northeast Bradford.
Athens' victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Northeast Bradford, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.
Athens couldn't quite finish off Northeast Bradford in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 and fell 47-45. Can Athens avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
