Softball Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short

Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 14-2 to the Terrell Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 back in August.

Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Terrell Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westwood will challenge Fullington Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Terrell Academy, they will take on Tiftarea Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
