Softball Recap: Higbee Takes a Loss

Higbee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jamestown. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 12-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Higbee saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Spilman, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Those hits marked the first that Spilman has got this season.

Higbee's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Jamestown, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Higbee will head out to challenge Brashear at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jamestown, they will square off against California at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
