Baseball Recap: Deep Run Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Deep Run had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Hermitage Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-2 back in April.

Lucas Lake and Aiden Bradshaw made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Lake tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Bradshaw tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Deep Run is undefeated when Bradshaw allows two or fewer hits, but 7-8 otherwise. At bat, Lake went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Bradshaw went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Lake has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Luke Frei was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Papas, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Deep Run was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .387 or higher in three consecutive games.

Deep Run's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Hermitage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-16.

As of now, neither Deep Run nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
