Basketball Recap: Roxborough Triumphs

On Wednesday, the Roxborough Wolves didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Science Leadership Academy, but they still walked away with a 28-24 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Jaylah Holmes was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Austin, who posted four points and three steals.

Roxborough has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Science Leadership Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roxborough will challenge Kensington at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Science Leadership Academy, they will take on Olney at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
