Softball Recap: Newman Catholic's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

While Newman Catholic's victory against Madrid wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Wednesday. Two seems to be a good number for the Knights as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The win made it two in a row for Newman Catholic and bumps their season record up to 21-5-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Madrid, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-22 record this season.

As of now, neither Newman Catholic nor Madrid have any future games scheduled.
