Soccer Game Preview: Temple vs. Gordon Central

The Temple Tigers will face off against the Gordon Central Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gordon Central took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Temple, who comes in off a win.

Temple made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Donoho, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigers put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 6-2 victory on Wednesday. Jalen Wirth was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Gordon Central was a bit more limited in their matchup two weeks ago. They fell just short of Armuchee by a score of 1-0. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Gordon Central couldn't quite close it out.

Gordon Central now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Temple, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-8-1.
