Basketball Recap: Rosary Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

With a playoff win on the line, Rosary Academy rose to the challenge on Saturday. They strolled past the La Canada Spartans with points to spare, taking the game 53-34. The victory was nothing new for the Royals as they're now sitting on three straight.

Despite the defeat, La Canada saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kennedy Hunt posted nine points and six steals. What's more, Hunt also posted two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024.

Rosary Academy now has a winning record of 15-14. As for La Canada, their loss dropped their record down to 22-7.

Looking ahead, Rosary Academy will take on Notre Dame Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Notre Dame Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Rosary Academy likes a good challenge. La Canada does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
