Soccer Game Preview: Greenbrier vs. McIntosh

Greenbrier is 0-3 against McIntosh since February of 2021 but things could change on Saturday. The Greenbrier Wolfpack will be playing at home against the McIntosh Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. Greenbrier's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Greenbrier's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out North Augusta 1-0. That's two games straight that the Wolfpack have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, McIntosh came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Blue Devils as they made off with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won nine contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Greenbrier's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for McIntosh, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
