Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty County). They put the hurt on the Claxton Tigers with a sharp 30-12 win on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
The team relied heavily on Landon Usher, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. Liberty County is undefeated when Usher posts two or more runs, but 8-14 otherwise. Ezzard Jemison was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
