Baseball Recap: Ashland Comes Up Short

Ashland lost to Thurston back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Grizzlies lost 12-1 to the Colts. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ashland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Albano, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Tanner Cruce also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ashland now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Thurston, they pushed their record up to 15-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

While Ashland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
