Football Recap: Harper Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Harper blew Sabinal out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Sabinal got their revenge. The Longhorns fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 41-39. The Longhorns were up 21-6 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Despite the loss, Harper still got an impressive performance from Braydon Lake, who threw for 200 yards and three TDs on only 18 passes, and also rushed for 34 yards. A healthy portion of Lake's aerial production (92 yards to be exact) went to Jaylon Wilson, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Harper's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sabinal, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harper will head out to take on Center Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sabinal, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
