Basketball Recap: Hart Takes a Loss

Hart has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a hard 60-46 fall against the Crescenta Valley Falcons on Monday. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

When it comes to explaining why Hart lost, don't look at Morgan Mack. Despite the final result, she went 9 of 22 on her way to 25 points and three steals. That was a full 54.3% of Hart's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Andrea Aina, who earned 12 points and three steals.

Hart's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Crescenta Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

Hart will look to defend their home court on Friday against Golden Valley at 5:00 p.m. Hart is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season. Crescenta Valley has already played their next matchup, a 55-50 loss against Burroughs on the 21st.
